Recently one review and one interview from 2016 Young Ag Professionals (YAP) Winter Conference show were published, here are some bits:
The group shared a few of their songs they had written recently with the promise of an upcoming album (release date is TBA).
They concluded their concert with a song that defines not only their family, but many of the young ag professionals sitting in that room watching. Why I Farm was written by The Henningsens to complement the Beck’s Hybrids Why I Farm campaign. It’s an emotional song that really captures heart and soul of the American farmer.

You can learn so many things growing up on a farm; you learn to be patient when you don’t want to be. My advice is don’t give up. Sometimes you’re three feet away in the mine from striking gold and you quit. You’re so close and don’t ever know until you do it.
The Boot wrote an article about “Why I Farm”:
“We’re thrilled to continue honoring the American farmer through this unique relationship,” says Beck’s President Scott Beck. “… The Henningsens’ background allows the group to vividly tell the story of the American farmer in a unique way, through lyrics. It’s not only their personal experiences, but those of every farmer.” Read “The Henningsens Release New Single”
